There's another Bagel World in Salem, near Salem College... always busy on the weekends!

I was so disappointed that I missed maple syrup season this spring. Parker's Maple Barn sounds like a lot of fun; a great way to get my maple syrup fix. :-) And my son LOVES pancakes more than anything. His class was going through the holidays a couple of weeks ago, and for Thanksgiving, my 3 year old drew what he was thankful for. "I am thankful for pancakes," it said. Of course, my husband, the pancake buddy, was pleased. The two of them make pancakes every weekend!

You should talk to the library of the town you are visiting. Each of the local libraries (Swampscott, Salem, Beverly, Wenham, etc) has a certain number of spaces available. You may be out of luck if you are not a resident of a North Shore town, but it can't hurt to call.

My 3 year old son has been taking music classes off and on since he was 3 months old, too. At first, it was something fun for me to do with him, but as he's gotten older, it's been fun watching all that he has learned. He wows the family in singing "Happy Birthday" in key and his daycare teachers joke about him being on American Idol when he gets older. Fun things like that. And now he's singing lullabies to the baby in my tummy... and not just "Twinkle Twinkle" but our favorite: "All the Pretty Little Horses."

So it's been a week and all goes well at home, no accidents , he had one accident at Day care, but it is because he doesn't like to use stange potty's.
Since he went once at Chuck e Cheese I got him to to go again this week there, and since he really had to go the bathroom the other day while we were at the library he went there as well, with a bit of convincing. But no force, just nice verbal suggestion. I hope that mens next time at the library he'll go on his own. No luck at day care though. Anyone else have this same situation? or advice on strange potty usage?
Thanks

My mother accidently picked up a crate of hot pink Little Mermaid swimming diapers at Sam's for my 2-year-old son. He wears them with pride under his swimming trunks, and no one really seems to care. Still, I hope they're either all gone or no longer needed by the end of the summer...

Alisa, Since I mentioned it earlier I thought I would share how my sons first day with just undearwear at Daycare went. Anxiously, I picked him up early to find out how he did . Daycare told me he didn't pee all day! She and I were surprised at that. While that's great no acccident it's also not good to hold your pee that long 6hrs. I don't think he likes there small potty. (it's just different from home) At nap time they put him in a diaper with his undearwear on over that.(still no pee) She says it confuses them less. As soon as we got home, he peeded. and then did well the rest of the night even pooping in the potty. I do put him in a diaper at night too. I will say the down side of this is that my son now uses going to the potty as an excuse to stay up late, each time though coming up with some pee. I'm glad to have someone else who is going thru Potty training to share ideas with. Thanks !
